LPG is used safely and consistently by people around the world for a variety of applications. However, security can always be improved. Knowing that your kitchen is always full of adults cooking and children sneaking in to eat, we at SUPERGAS have some tips to keep you safe.

To do list when buying LPG:
Always make sure you are buying from an authorized franchisee.
Remember to check the company seal and lock nut on the cylinder upon delivery.
Do not take back the bottle if the seal is broken.
Please note the test date marked on the inside of the cylinder support plate. The term is identified by an alphabet representing the term (A - March, B - June, C - September, D - December) and the academic year. If the DFT is A-22, that means the bottle needs to be tested by March 2022.
Do not accept bottles after the due date is over.
Check for gas leaks by applying a soapy solution to Suraksha cylinder and pipe gaskets when commissioning a new cylinder
Do not use an open flame to find leaks.
Things to remember when cooking with LPG:
Leave kitchen doors and windows open for good ventilation.
Do not place flammable or plastic objects near the flame.
Never leave the kitchen unattended.
Wear clothing that does not catch fire easily.
Close the regulator knob to the OFF position when the bottle is not in use
LPG Maintenance:
Take off the LPG reducer and put the safety cap on the bottle when the gas stove is not used for a long time.
Always store the LPG cylinder upright and away from other flammable and combustible materials.
As a good practice, replace the Suraksha whistles once a year.
Always use ISI approved LPG pipes, stoves, regulators and appliances.
Make sure that all parts of the LPG system are in good condition.
Never tamper with your LPG cylinder.
In case of an emergency:
Close the regulator and burner knobs. No panic.
Open all doors and windows for ventilation.
Extinguish all flames, lamps, incense sticks and sources of fire.
Place the protective cap on the cylinder.
Call your dealer or emergency services for help.
Do not use switches and electrical appliances in the room.
Turn off the main external power supply.
